Technical Writer | Defense Programs | Active Secret Clearance

Join a mission-focused technical team supporting complex defense systems where accurate documentation directly impacts safety, consistency, and mission execution.

We’re looking for a Technical Writer who can turn technical information into clear, controlled documentation while working closely with engineering and program teams.

What You’ll Do

• Develop analysis reporting templates for project reporting.
• Write and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Incorporate clear Warnings, Cautions, and Notes into technical documentation.
• Review and proofread technical material for accuracy, grammar, clarity, and layout.
• Manage configuration baselines and ensure hardware/software changes are reflected in current documentation.
• Handle and mark classified documents according to their security classification.
• Create and maintain technical documentation using LaTeX.

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Technical writing experience, including SOP development.
• Experience managing configuration-controlled documentation.
• Experience with LaTeX, Markdown, or similar typesetting/markup system.
• Active Secret clearance.
• Ability to work 100% on-site at an Army installation.
• Experience supporting Department of Defense programs or projects is preferred.
